Transat Jacques Vabre:
Awaken your inner skipper!

Enjoyed the Vendée Globe and fancy the idea of being a skipper with a cause – but don’t want to get your feet wet?
You can do it on 7 November 2021, on the Transat Jacques Vabre! To take part, raise €50 or more for Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque (or €20 if you’re a student). When you reach your goal, you can create and customise your own boat.

Virtual Regatta is an online multiplayer regatta and offshore race simulator that has partnered with the top sailing races. You can customise your boat when you sign up.

You will start your race at the same time as the real-life one, and follow the exact same itinerary. You will need to deal with real-life weather conditions and wind forces to steer your monohull. Your boat’s location will be updated every 10 minutes.

A virtual race for a cause

To take part in the Transat Jacques Vabre on Virtual Regatta, each participant will need to raise €50 or more for Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque (or €20 if you’re a student). It’s an opportunity to compete with professional skippers and your peers while helping the charity.

How it works ?

To sign up, you need to set up your fundraising page on the website by 29 October 2021. You can sign up by yourself or in a team – that’s entirely up to you.
Customise your fundraising page and ask people around you to help you reach your goal, i.e. raise €50 (or €20 if you’re a student) for Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque by 29 October 2021.
Once you reach your goal, you will receive your Virtual Regatta login ID and password by email, on 3 November – and can start braving the Atlantic Ocean!

Prizes:

1st place: a weekend trip to watch the start of the 2022 Route du Rhum for 6 employees/students, and a trip at sea on board Initiatives-Cœur.

2nd to 4th place: a trip at sea on board Initiatives-Cœur (up to 6 employees/students per team).

5th to 10th place: Initiatives-Coeur scale models (1 scale model per employee/student, up to 6 scale models per team).
