Project with UNICEF in Brazil

UNICEF* intends to tackle the learning crisis by providing children and youth with fair access to quality digital education. The use of ICT tools opens the door to an environment that fosters learning: in addition to the core fundamentals of education (reading, writing and math), it enables children and youth access more learning content to increase their knowledge and to learn at their own pace.

VINCI Energies
supporting UNICEF

Since 2022, VINCI Energies has been supporting UNICEF on projects that provide better access to quality learning and digital education, enabling children to benefit from a blended learning approach, i.e. learning through ICT tools in addition to a more traditional education.

In Brazil, VINCI Energies is supporting a project which will enable about 3000 children aged 6 to 10 in semi-arid regions and the Amazon to access quality education, using a blended approach based on digital tools.

At the end of this four-year partnership:

  • 30 public schools in semi-arid regions and the Amazon will be connected to the Internet and equipped with computers.
  • Around 150 teachers will be involved in preparing and delivering curricula combining more traditional and digital learning. These hybrid curricula will reach approximately 3,000 pupils.
